Visa Notes & Fees:
Passport: Original Passport with validity of a minimum of three months (from the date of return) and a minimum of two blank pages for visa stamp.
a) Copy of pages of passport containing personal information and also pages providing important travel information.
Please note :
a) Passports issued beyond 10 years will not be accepted by the Embassy.
b) Indian Passports can only be accepted if their biodata (name, date of birth, place of birth & sex) have not been modified by an "observation". However, observation regarding the validity of the passport or any observation on the last page is acceptable.
c) Attach all your old passports (if any)
Schengen Visa Application Form: Visa application form has to be filled out online, once the applicant fills out the form, the printout has to be taken out signed by the applicant, and attached with the application for submission.

Declaration Form:
Granting SEF (Foreign and borders office) permission for consulting criminal records in Portugal (not required for minors below 16 years).
Photo Specification: Two recent passport size color photographs with matt or semi-matt finish, 60%-80% face coverage, white background, and without border (Size: 35mm x 45mm) Please note: Photograph should not be more than 6 months old, scanned/stapled and should not be used in any of the previous visas.
Covering Letter:
1) Personal Covering Letter from the applicant introducing himself/herself, explaining the purpose, duration & itinerary of the visit in brief. The cover letter should also mention the name and relation of any accompanying travelers with their passport numbers and passport copy. If the accompanying travelers already possess a valid Schengen Visa, please enclose a photocopy of the same and if applying through another Embassy/Consulate, please provide the details The letter should be addressed to – The Consulate General of Portugal, Goa.
2) Original Employment Covering Letter from the Indian organization or company mentioning the designation and current profile of the applicant, purpose of the visit, itinerary, name & contacts of the company in Portugal
with complete and full address and contacts of host/hotel accommodation in Portugal.
Invitation Letter: Original/ Scanned Invitation Letter from Portugal host / inviting Company on its letterhead mentioning the purpose of travel and duration of stay and should be duly signed with signatory’s name and designation. A copy has to be faxed directly to the Consulate.
Airline Reservation:
a) Reserved Onward / Return Flight Travel Ticket.
b)Flight ticket accompanying travelers (if any).
Internal Travel Tickets/Reservations
If traveling to more than one country within the Schengen area
Proof of Accommodation:
Hotel Confirmation for the entire period of stay as per the tour itinerary.
Please Note Hotel should match the ticket dates and the maximum stay should be in Portugal. Please provide a booking reservation directly from Hotel or from any booking site. Example: booking.com, makemytrip.com, yatra.com, etc.
Note: Hotel bookings done by any third-party travel agent are not acceptable.
Medical: Original Medical Insurance for the stay duration amounting to 30,000 Euros
Please Note: Insurance has to be done by the Authorized Insurance Companies
Financials:
a) Personal ITR for last 3 years
b) Original Personal Bank Statement for last six months with bank’s seal and signature
c) Six months salary slip (If Employed)
d) Foreign Currency Receipt(Euro 40 per day, Euores 75 per entry)
e) Copy of credit card with credit limit statement.
Proof of Occupation:
a) Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation
b) Brief Company Profile
c) Copy of the highest degree of Qualification
For First Time Traveler (Following documents apart from the above-mentioned documents need to be submitted along with the application)
a) Articles of Memorandum (In case the applicant is MD/Director)
b) Proof of Proprietorship / Partnership (In case the applicant is Proprietor / Partner in a firm)
c) Import / Export License (if applicable)
d) Ownership proof
Please Note: Applicants (Adults & Children) applying through the Consulate General of Portugal in Goa will be required to appear for a Personal Interview if there has been no travel to a Schengen country within the last 3 years at the time of submission. The Visa Application Centre shall help you make an appointment for the same.
New Procedure for Schengen Visa Applications: With immediate effect, Indian citizens traveling to Schengen countries for the short-term (max 90 days in 180 days) will have to visit the VFS visa application center personally to provide biometric data (fingerprints and digital photograph). For subsequent applications within the next 5 years, the biometric data will be copied from the previous visa application included in the VIS.
a) Arrange appointments for biometrics at VFS centers as per applicants’ convenience.
b) Offer expert guidance on the documentation for the relevant visa application.
